High Quality Forage (HQF) Blends

Midwestern Bio-Ag has these exclusive HQF blends designed to provide different forages in different situations to meet farmers' varying needs.

HQF Dry Hay - designed for dry hay production, but can be made for silage and baleage if needed. Includes tall fescue, timothy and orchardgrass.

HQF Hi-Energy Pasture - a blend of the most digestible grasses available. Needs your ground with the most fertility and water holding capacity to keep it going longer in the summer. Great for milk production as well as putting pounds onto cattle and sheep. Includes perennial ryegrass, tall fescue, festulolium, and white clover.

HQF Dry Tolerant Pasture - This mix of tall fescue, meadow fescue perennial ryegrass, timothy and white clover gives summer production while providing energy for meat and milk.

Clovers

Exclusive (Ladino) Clover -- Bio-Ag's own high yielding, persistent ladino clover well adapted to the upper midwest. A true large leaf type that is acynogenic. Good stolon production into the fall adding to the grazing season. For both pastures and forage production.

Impact II (Red Clover) -- Similar in plant height to Marathon but two days later maturity. Semi-erect to erect plant growth habit. Resistance to powdery mildew and common crown rots, northern and southern anthracnose and fusarium wilt. Stand logevity, persistence and productivity

HQF Corn Silage Hybrids - selected for traits that benefit the cow as well as the ensiling process; higher digestibility as well as elevated sugar levels to assist in fermentation; standability, yield and plant health. Can be harvested for grain as well. HQF-497 (97 day), HQF-606 (106-day), HQF 712 (112 day), and HQF Grazing Blend as part of the forage chain.

Organic versions are O-HQF 792 (92 day), O-HQF 801 (100 day), and O-HQF 606 (106 day).

Other Blends

Green-N-Gold Interseed - A blend of red clover, hairy vetch, annual ryegrass and oil seed radish. This seed mixture is designed for shade tolerance, easy seeding, good germination and stand establishment. Provides tons of green manure for next year, feeds soil life, builds humus, loosens the soil, promotes aeration and water holding, aids in weed and erosion control.
