BLUE MOUNDS, WIS. – Women on the Midwestern BioAg sales team double with the addition of Seda Klachko of Chatham, Ill. She will serve as the second female Sales Consultant, beginning her role on March 31, 2021 based out of Milledgeville, Ill. Klachko will team with Shelby Schuette, who topped sales for Midwestern BioAg this past week. Shelby is thriving in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Klachko is looking forward to making her mark too as she joins a steadily increasing number of women in the agriculture workforce.
Klachko brings experience as a Contract Scientist with ADM (Aerotek) and two Research Assistant roles, one with Indigo Agriculture and another with the University of Illinois – Department of Plant Pathology. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Crop Sciences with a Concentration in Agroecology from the University of Illinois in Champaign, Ill., as well as an Associate of Science from Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Ill.
“I grew up horseback riding across the Midwest and fell in love with the farmland around me,” said Klachko. “I began pursuing my agricultural career at the University of Illinois (GO ILLINI). I’m passionate about both soil heath and sustainability and look forward to becoming a member of the MBA team!”
March is Women’s History Month – a time Midwestern BioAg has used to reflect on how the female presence has grown tremendously across the company in the past year. In addition to hiring Seda Klachko as a Sales Consultant, this year Midwestern BioAg hired a Nutrition Specialist, a Human Resources Manager and two Marketing Coordinators who are all women. Midwestern BioAg is proud to have a female employee base of just over 20 percent across the company. We celebrate this achievement and are excited to see continued growth in gender diversity and equity within our company and across the agriculture industry.
Midwestern BioAg works with both organic and conventional farms to improve crop yields, sustainably and profitably, through a comprehensive, soil-centric, whole-farm management system.
