Midwestern BioAg celebrates growing female presence during Women’s History Month

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ill. — Women on the Midwestern BioAg sales team doubled with the addition of Seda Klachko of Chatham. She will serve as the second female sales consultant, beginning her role on March 31, based out of Milledgeville.

Klachko will team with Shelby Schuette, who topped sales for Midwestern BioAg.

Klachko brings experience as a contract scientist with ADM and two research assistant roles, one with Indigo Agriculture and another in plant pathology at the University of Illinois.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in crop sciences with a concentration in agroecology from the U of I in Champaign.

“I grew up horseback riding across the Midwest and fell in love with the farmland around me,” Klachko said. “I began pursuing my agricultural career at the University of Illinois. I’m passionate about both soil heath and sustainability and look forward to becoming a member of the MBA team.”

March celebrated Women’s History Month — a time Midwestern BioAg used to reflect on how the female presence has grown tremendously across the company in the past year.

In addition to hiring Klachko as a sales consultant, this year Midwestern BioAg hired a nutrition specialist, a human resources manager and two marketing coordinators, who are all women.

Midwestern BioAg works with both organic and conventional farms to improve crop yields, sustainably and profitably, through a comprehensive, soil-centric, whole-farm management system. The company was founded in 1983 and is headquartered in Blue Mounds, Wisconsin.
