What is YieldArmor?

YieldArmor is an innovative dry fertilizer coating that improves nutrient efficiency, enhances soil moisture retention, and supports natural soil biology. It offers a smarter way to handle and apply fertilizers – all while delivering visible performance benefits in the field.

Now available in both conventional and organic formulations (YieldArmor OG), it fits seamlessly into variety of cropping systems and fertilizer programs.

How It Works 

At the heart of YieldArmor is Bio-Gel Technology, a proprietary product built to:

  • Improve nutrient performance
  • Enhance soil moisture retention
  • Boost nutrient use efficiency
  • Minimize nutrient leaching
  • Reduce salt stress
  • Act as a food source for beneficial soil microbes

Formulation Overview 

  • 1% Soluble Potash (K₂O) – sourced from sulfate of potash
  • 10% Uronic Acid (active ingredient) – derived from polysaccharides and organic acids
  • 99% Inert Ingredients – for consistent coating and compatibility

YieldArmor is OMRI listed in its organic formulation, making it ideal for organic crop systems.

Application & Compatibility 

Application Rates:
  • Use 0.5lb per acre for p to 400lb of dry fertilizer
  • Do not exceed 1 lb per 50 lb of fertilizer
Compatible Fertilizer Types:
  • TerraNu blends
  • P blends
  • K blends
  • Urea and urea-based blends
How to Apply:
  1. Add YieldArmor at the recommended rate during dry fertilizer blending

  2. Mix thoroughly for uniform coating (crop or seed oil can improve adhesion)

  3. Allow several minutes of mixing before final handling or application

It’s that simple — no additional equipment or complex application methods needed.

Samples were placed in a humidity chamber (rH 90%) for 48hrs and dried to induce bridging. After drying, samples were released, and the clumped agglomerates were weighed.

Performance Testing & Results

Wet/Dry Cycle Testing:

YieldArmor-coated fertilizers maintained adhesion and integrity after hydration cycles, ensuring consistency through varying field conditions.

Water Retention Testing:

YieldArmor demonstrated up to 83% more water retention than uncoated fertilizer, based on lab testing with TerraNu. This translates directly into better moisture availability in the root zone — a critical factor in crop stress tolerance and nutrient uptake.
